Her feature-length historical documentary, “Class of ´41”, won “Best of Fest” at the 2008 Illinois International Film Festival.

In fall of 2008 Haddad won the Freshfilmmaker Grant from IFP Minnesota. This grant provided all production and post production support necessary to produce her short narraative screenplay, “The Egg Timer.”

In October, 2009 Haddad received a Jerome Foundation production grant to assist with production of “Artist in the Margin.”

This is Haddad´s artistic statement:

“I am a writer, but I am also a visual artist. In producing films, I try to tell stories primarily through the visuals, deepening them with sound and music, but employing language only as a last resort. That is why I edit my own films, particularly my documentaries. I experiment during the editing process, looking for the most effective visual way to tell the story; and I find that in this way the story becomes more powerful and beautiful.”
